Snogo Straws

I was in Boulder, CO, at a club afterparty, when suddenly I thought “why do cacao party accessories suck so bad?” It’s 2014, and we’re still using a $20 bill to sniff cacao? Bills are DIRTY. Also, like it or not, rolled up bills will forever be associated with a certain illicit drug, but cacao is totally legal. And healthy! Cacao definitely deserved something better than a rolled up bill! Oh, wait…here’s a cut plastic straw. Super classy. Hmm…now let’s put some cacao on a key. Total fail. Or a bullet? Seriously. Don’t get me started.

Phillygoat

Phillygoat was created by three brothers who grew up in Delco and were raised on a steady diet of Wawa hoagies, Pica's pizza, and Rita's wooder ice. Legend has it that one day in the mid '80s the brothers attended a Phillies game at Veteran's Stadium, and were fortunate enough to meet Mike Schmidt after the game as he was signing autographs. It just so happened that one of Schmidty's mustache hairs became dislodged and fortuitously landed on the soft pretzel that the brothers had been sharing at the time. Rather than discard the stray hair, the enterprising young men saved that hair and cared for it everyday, nurturing it back to health.

We needed a stainless steel bottle (no thank you, BPA's), but every website that we tried had limited design options, limited color options, took ten business days to ship, and charged you for minimal personalization. We knew that there had to be a better way, and we decided to make it ourselves. Ludabottle began in our garage with a laser and a slightly unhealthy obsession with the perfect water bottle. Of course, this water bottle had to be durable, have temperature control, slip proof powder coating, and leak proof lids, but it also needed to be yours.
